The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
