MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel presently gain from a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been fulfilling with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of industry going it does need just a little bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
